Physical therapy is one form of treatment for acute and chronic pains.
Acute pain typically lasts less than 3 to 6 months, or is directly related to soft tissue damage. Acute pain is of short duration and resolves as the injured tissues heal. Examples are broken bones, surgery, burns or cuts, sprained or strained muscles/ligaments.
Chronic Pain is often defined as pain lasting longer 6 months. Chronic pain is when the pain persists after the injury has healed. Some common chronic pains are low back pain, arthritis pain, and neurogenic pain.
At Healing Hands we work to free you of pain with an array of therapeutic exercises and activities. Through these exercises and activities the goal is for you to become pain free and get back in motion.
